BRIEF HISTORY

Built by Fiat Materfer in 1958 and revamped by Viberti-Seac in 1977 for single agent service, the 3179 engine is the first and only tram in the world characterized by the possibility of transforming itself into a stage, almost completely opening one side, which has been modified and made overturned in 2007. It was chosen from the tramways set aside in the Regina Margherita depot in early 2007 and from there it was transferred to the Gtt Central Workshop for the processing work. This modification was proposed and designed by the cultural association "I tranvieri e la città" ("The tram drivers and the city"), a group that brought together tram drivers dedicated to acting in their free time. This association dissolved in 2019 and the tram was taken by Atts.
